Have you ever looked at the label on your bathroom products? I know that most of us do not really bother to do that. Most people go for the `if it says natural on it, it must be true` approach. I mean, if it says organic or natural on the label, it can’t be that bad. This is not always the case, though. A lot of people have sensitive skin, therefore they should be more careful about what they use.

Now is a good time to face the facts that you’ve been ignoring. Give your skin a break from all of those artificial products. Here is a homemade version of a grapefruit body wash that is 100% organic. Take note that the recipe calls for the use of grapefruit essential oil. There are some people whose skin is sensitive towards it. The instances of this happening are rare but we should put them out there just in case. Test the oil on a patch of skin before starting this recipe. If all is well, proceed.

To make this grapefruit body wash you need ½ cup of Castile soap, ½ cup of water, ½ cup of aloe vera gel. To this, add one teaspoon of grapefruit oil and 2 drops of ginger essential oil. Whisk together all of these ingredients into a bowl. Now, to store it, pour the liquid into a container that has a spout or a pump.

This body wash can last around a year, but it all depends on the temperature of storage. The hotter it is, the shorter its shelf life will be. You can also try refrigerating one container until you finish using the other one.
